Help For Haiti-Leave a comment or link up and I'll donate..

Has it been hard for you to go through your day since the news of Haiti? Much of my day seems quite silly and inconsequential when so much suffering is being experienced at the very moment that I am sitting blogging about nonsense in my safe home. I know many of you feel the same way. Last night I told my husband that every time I allowed myself to start to think of the magnitude of the suffering, I can feel myself sliding into a panicked state. This does no-one any good.

But we can do good. Even while we are sitting blogging in our safe homes. We are so blessed.

Today I am joining fellow bloggers in an effort to raise money for Haiti. Click here to read about it. Please visit as many blogs to leave a comment as you can. If you can't afford to donate money at this time, you will be doing so this way. This is the one time that you can feel really good about surfing the web. If you are a blogger, you can join in too.

For every comment that is left here, I will donate 0.25 c and for every link left by another blogger who is willing to help by setting up a Mr Linky on their blog for this cause, I will donate 0.50 c to LDS Humanitarian Services Emergency Response (Haiti) up to $50. This is one of the most well known, effective and respected charitable organizations in the world. 100% of your donation will go to direct aid for the victims in Haiti.

Bloggers please link up in the MckLinky below so we can find you, too.

And again, I do believe prayers are our most powerful currency. Everyone can afford to share them, so please do.

Thank you so much.

I have been avoiding the internet the last couple of days because we are still waiting to hear of some family members and any news makes me just cry. I just opened my Blogger Dashboard this morning and saw this so of course I'm going to comment. Has anyone else kind of lost their groove since this disaster happened? All I can do is pray nowadays...Thank you for this! Sending you a big Haitian hug...we're huggers... (((hugs)))

My best, Lynn

thank you. I will be sharing heartwarming stories that bring hope and a sense of togetherness and friendship for those who are lost and/or suffering; we all can be that friend, that someone who can make a difference, if only we look a little deeper, and dare to think a little greater... in loving memory of ga

Count me in...thanks for your generous heart, and I'm so glad to be helping even in some small way. I'm especially glad to see donations to LDS Humanitarian services, since I know all the money will go to those in need rather than to overhead =)
