Friday Follower Giveaway time!

Hello luvvies

How is the first week of March treating you? Me, I can't complain. I've seen sunlight this week. The golden elixir. Aaaahhhhh..........

In other news, Cooking with Amy (and others) is going well. Mostly. Tonight we hit a bit of a wall. I must disclose that I did not go with the recipe Amy gave me. I was going for her recipe but my father inspired me to tweak it. But I did not end up following the recipe he gave me either.

I think we all learned a valuable lesson today.

I should not go my own way when it comes to the kitchen. So.. inspired by both of these excellent cooks I inexplicably attempted to make this.

I have to say I went into it with great optimism and moderate confidence. I, as Simon Cowell would say, "Misunderestimated" the project.

Two things I learned today: it is really not worth it to try to make your own gnocci. The little bags you can buy are just fine- probably better. Also? Cayenne pepper should not be interchanged in equal quantities when "red pepper flakes" are called for.

It was the right thing to do. What I created would have caused injury to the children. Oh well. We try again tomorrow.

So it's Friday! Which means follower appreciation time! One lucky follower who comments today telling me about something good that happened to them this week will receive a pretty little something from me in the mail next week. Good Mail! Yay!
