I’m attempting to use my morning sickness prone state to catch up a little bit on the blogging. I have been shameful of late. I just seem to be allergic to doing anything remotely productive but I’m trying to inject some small dose of discipline into the haze of nausea, fatigue and general malaise…even if it is just to foist dozens of random photos upon you.
Just hours after the highly unexpected revelation, we escaped from soccer registration hades for a few days at Norris Lake in TN. Our lovely friends had invited us to spend some time at their family cabin and it was the most perfect relaxing and timely escape. It really was the best timing. The long drive gave us time to process and discuss our exciting news (the kids could not hear us from the back-seat), being away from phones, computers and responsibilities, gave us time to chill and catch up on some sleep. I had been suffering from the early pregnancy insomnia I always get, for the prior couple of weeks and was sorely in need of some downtime. Little was I to know that pretty much all that would follow from that time henceforth was down-time, but Aaron certainly needed to rest up for what has become a life of taking over all my responsibilities on top of his own, and for that I am most grateful.
The kids got to spend tons of time with their beloved little Aleah and watching them with her was really sweet knowing that they were soon to have their own little person to dote on.
The beautiful view of the lake from our cabin…the walk down and up was a great work out.
We played endless games of ring around the rosey in the lake with Aleah and endless hours, jumping, diving, floating and swimming. The boys came back with the worst case of swimmers ear our Dr. had seen in 30 years and I’m convinced it was because they were never really dry…
Since the queasiness had already started setting in, Finny and I remained on the dock one afternoon while the others went boating. We entertained ourselves with the camera…
We had great food and fun together
There were dock dance parties
Erianne shows off her stuff…
Matt shows off his…
And there was lots of just lying around…reading and relaxing…
Sooo peaceful
Practising…:) What a dear easy going little girl this is. May I order one just like her? (One just like any of the four I already have would also be hugely appreciated ;)
Some girlie time doing and admiring our nails…..
Gabe diving through a moving ring-quite a feat…
Moon-lit swimming…and a romantic dinner.
A bumpy ride home for some…
It wasn’t 100% sloth though….(thanks Matt for the good example).
Ahhhh such great memories. Thank you dear Weight family. xoxo
